We recommend that you try the following:
1) Try uninstalling ooVoo and then re-installing it from the website (http://www.oovoo.com/download ).
To uninstall ooVoo: from the Control panel, open the Add/remove programs (for Windows XP) or Programs and features (for Windows Vista or 7)
Note: Your account details will still be the same and your video messages and files will still be saved on your computer.
2) If the problem persists, try installing ooVoo using the following installation file:
3) If none of the above solve the problem and ooVoo does not exist in installed programs list under the Control panel, please follow the directions below to manually solve the problem:
I. Download the 2 files from the links below and make sure that you save those files under your C: drive (run.bat and DownloadManagerUpgradeFix.bat):
II. Once the 2 files are saved on your C: drive, right click on the file called Run.bat and select 'Run as Administrator'
III. Once the process completes (should be very short), click on the link below to download the latest installation file.
IV. Install ooVoo using the downloaded file. Please note that when the process completes no notification will appear, and once you run the new ooVoo file from your desktop icon you will be prompted to create a new ooVoo account. Please close this window and type your existing account information in the Login window.
V. If the process does not complete successfully, please open a support request here and attach the 2 log files created under your C: drive and called: out.log and out.err
